Welcoming Christmas with Unique Christmas Tree and Charity

Welcoming Christmas and New Year, many places began to decorate with the varied Christmas ornaments. So also with PT Atlantic Biruraya (CHEERS). Collaborate with Fairfield by Marriott Surabaya, Cheers showcased a Christmas tree made from bottles of Cheers packaging in the Fairfield hotel lobby.


Christmas tree with a height of 4 meters, composed of 3000 bottles of packaging Cheers 1500 ml, 550 ml, and 330 ml. Iwan Setiawan, Cheers Marketing Communication Supervisor said that not take a long to work on Christmas tree from the bottles. “Just one day to work on it, but of course until late at night. Previously we have prepared the material and immediately do it at Fairfield, “he explained at the Fairfield Hotel December 6, 2017.  The plan, the Christmas tree will be on display until the new year.

As a bottled drinking water company, Cheers is well aware of contributing to being one of the plastic waste contributors. Therefore, with the idea of making used bottles become something of value in order to be one way to reduce waste. “This becomes one of our concern for the environment by way of anticipating plastic waste into something of value,” Iwan said.


Meanwhile, Kus Andi, Marketing Communication Manager of Fairfield by Marriott Surabaya, said that Fairfield wants to bring something unique and different in Christmas this year. “Yes, one of them with a Christmas tree from this mineral water bottles. In addition, there is also a snowman of made of a cup of mineral water as well. Incidentally we are working with Cheers,”he explained.

Besides to presenting a unique Christmas tree, Fairfield and Cheers invites orphaned children from AGAPE Surabaya who are still in elementary school to celebrate the lighting ceremony. This celebration is done by lighting a candle accompanied by a song O Holly Night. After that, Cheers did not forget to compensate school bags for orphans.
